What I Read #16

Authorized Personnel Only by Barbara D'Amato: There are pickpockets hitting the big fancy stores in downtown Chicago. There is someone murdering the homeless in downtown Chicago. Many of the detective squad are ill with E Coli virus that they contacted at a dinner put on by the Chicago Police department. So, patrolman Suze Figueroa and her partner Bennis, are assigned as "temp detectives" and are out to solve the murders, and catch the pickpockets!

The Chicago-Sun-Times says, "every new D'Amato is worth waiting for." And they are right. I will search my library shelves for more. This was an exciting, yet easy read. The characters were human and the story was real. I give it a 4 four star rating.

Happy Reading,
JE
