Case Histories by Kate Atkinson: Three separate cases, a missing child, a murdered husband, and a stabbing of a secretary all seem unrelated. Until PI Jackson Brodie gets called upon to try to find the missing child.
A thoroughly confusing and yet, well written (if that's possible) web of intrigue leads Brodie into a mire of jealousy and abuse.
At one moment I was laughing at some antics of one of the characters, the next I was scratching my head with mystery.
Author Atkinson writes with a tongue-in-cheek wit along with a workable knowledge of crime and how to twist the two together to make for an entertaining read.
Happy Reading,
